The little kids

Hunter is 2 months old (almost three now, but 2 in these pictures).  He is the sweetest baby I've ever had.  He hardly cries, is so happy, will hang out by himself as long as I let him, then give the biggest smile to whomever decides to give him attention.  He loves to talk, and will sometimes prefer to talk and smile at me rather than eat.  I have NEVER had a baby like this.  All my other babies have been on strict schedules by this point, but Hunter is so happy and easy that we can just let him do whatever.  If he naps, that's great, if he gets woken up, that's great too - he's happy regardless!  If I would have read these words while dealing with any of my other 3 babies, I would have hated the author out of jealousy.  So his sweetness is definitely appreciated.  If he does end up being my last, at least we will have ended on a perfect note.
This little monkey is crazy!  The day I took these pictures we were having tons of fun in the back yard while the boys were at school.  But this little girl, screams, cries, wakes up in the night and makes John and I loose a lot of sleep, fights with her brothers, hides from me when I want to change her diaper, snacks all day long, loves the word 'mine', shattered the screen on our brand new ipad (while using the word mine), and LOVES her daddy.  I can see Caroline in about 3 years though, and our lives will be a lot calmer then!  I think Caroline is going to follow after Joshua, me, and her Nana, and be an in-charge person -  which should make her a great helper as well.  She already takes very good care of her dolls.  She strollers them around the house, puts them down for naps, and carts them around in their car seats.  She is very independent and wants to do everything herself.  Today she is wearing 3 pairs of pants, a skirt, shoes, and no shirt.  She tried to get a 4th pair of pants on, but couldn't.  She HATES me to do her hair, and screams through the whole process - often ripping it out after.  And don't even ask about teeth brushing!  She's a lot more cooperative for John though - and I believe the grandma's as well.  She loves Joshua and Hunter.  As far as Luke goes, he just has to enter the room and she starts yelling 'mine'.  Poor Luke, stuck in the middle of everyone!

reading this makes me miss your kids! We will have to come over for a play date in the next week or so. Everytime James see's a picture of Caroline he points and makes a "ca,ca" sound with a big smile on his face. I think they have a love/hate relationship :)

Oh the joys of parenthood! It may not seem like it now but you will miss those precious little ones when they become teenagers! Enjoy every moment and be thankful for the quiet times! I love those little rascals to pieces!

And you wanted another girl? lol. Emma has always been the same way with her hair. I always anticipated having a girl so I could dress her up and do cute hairdo's on her but Emma never let me touch her hair from the moment it grew in. :) And she wears whatever she wants which could be a stripped top with a polka dot bottom and doesn't care. Girls! You gotta love em.
