I don't know if you remember the post last year with all the pictures of the pumpkins overflowing out of the back of my car... Well we made the trip again this year and left with 52 pumpkins between our family, my parents, my in laws, my grandma in-law, and a friend. No huge ones like last year but I think that long one is awesome. It looks just like a zucchini, but it's hard like a pumpkin. Anyone know what it is?

We met at our house at 9am then headed out to Riley's farm where we showed ourselves to the pumpkin patch and began loading up the pumpkins. Last year we were there on a Saturday and the place was busy. This year we where the only ones on that side of the farm. Joshua had fun rolling pumpkins down the hill. Luke cried (a lot) because I wouldn't hold him. After collecting pumpkins, we went down below to their restaurant and had some lunch. Luke was much happier at that point and John loved the chicken pot pie.

After paying for our pumpkins we headed up toward oak glen a bit more to get some apples, cider, and donuts, before calling it a day and heading home. The kids had fun - John took the day off work - and I'm excited to go back again next year. Last year my pumpkins lasted a good 8 months before some kids found and smashed them on our front steps!! We'll see how long they make it this time around.
